whenever a relationship ends, the question will always be "who dumped who?"  It all feels like a game, whoever gets dumped looses the game, becomes the one that people pity, looses "face". In the end, why does it even matter? the important thing is that the relationship ended.  Still, everyone wants needs to know. It's almost become a must in announcing "Oh yeah, it was me who ended the relationship".
Last time, an acquaintance came up to me and said "Oh my god, she told me __ dumped you. that sucks!!" Literally in the tone sucks to be you. really felt like a slap in the face for me. didn't ask about how I'm doing or if I needed to talk. I shrugged it off later considering she wasn't somebody I was close with. Besides, even if she did ask me to confide in her, I would have lied and said I was okay. But just a simple kind gesture to reach out would have been nice, however most people, usually outsiders, only care about that one piece of information, which really isn't even relevant in the first place. "So, who dumped who?"
