1) My backpack. Sorry to disappoint, Carmel but I don't think I'll ever go to school sans backpack.
2)  Sunscreen. Because of this wonderful invention, I have yet to turn darker. (!!!) 
3) Internet. I can't imagine my life without internet. Hours are spent on the web and I wonder what I could have done with the time spent if internet didn't exist. At the same time, it's insanely helpful. I could probably write a 10 page essay on the internet (instead of my junior research paper on fitzgerald) 
4) Lipbalm. Burt's bees make my lips happy. 
5) A pocket knife with nail clipper? It would come in handy in various situations. Not that I actually carry a pocket knife with me or anything...
