When I hear July 1st, I immediately think of the scc crew setting up the day before, the morning parade, and of course, the ferris wheel. With the salmon fest just steps away from my house, it evidently became an annual event. while I'm more than 1000 miles away from home, this was on my mind the whole day. happy 144th, canada.
