pt2
I was so excited to start the school year after a summer of uncertainty. Spanish first thing in the morning with a woman whose first language is French. a highlight was when Lavallee joked about being Paris' BFF. Agnes bought Thomas' birthday present and I only saw a glimpse of it before I clumsily stuck it in his locker. several grammar mistakes were made on his card. "well at least you didn't write 'I LOVED you'". I kept our 3-month roses in my locker until they dried up because I was scared having to make up an excuse to my parents. my new friend in PE and I shared the same name. she told me she hated her name. I fell backwards while walking (yep) to home-base in a game of california kickball. I called a girl out for talking behind my back. little did she know that my heart was beating 200x a minute while doing so. lunchtimes were spent on the field near Whiteside and I will never forget our expressions when the dogs found our hiding spot. never. for the first time, I felt intimidating thanks to our 2 year age difference. I can still hear som's shaky voice in the phone call asking for your "forgiveness". (props to som for being HMS' valedictorian woot!). sciences naturelles 9 made me think that I was, peut-etre, good at science. how wrong was I?! david moutal hugs that would lift me up the ground (I wonder where he is nowadays...) cam thought I was dating my (non-existent) brother. math was actually manageable with Cruickshank who never missed one class although everyday was the exact same routine. "we don't SIN in this classroom. it's pronounced SIGN!" Coates always confused me for Claire and vice versa but its ok cus we both got A's. the snack shack will always hold a special place in my heart. bless those spicy chicken wraps, cheeseburgers, and 75 cent chocolate cookies. at the end of it all, Nadia left for taiwan. Annie left for NC. and Agnes & I left for RHS. sometimes I have to think hard to remember that I was a part of this striker family for two years.
