pt3

the route to school changed from c93 to 402...the bus came ten minutes earlier which meant the morning walks turned into morning runs to the bus stop. the light on moffatt rd changed from red to green in what seemed like an eternity. locker jammed in between albert (sup) and austin. the lantern festival at west richmond marked the first of many, many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. spending time with the kids made all those mornings waking up at 8 worth it. parents thought I was going on secret dates with garrett. little did they know we were raking leaves in the middle of november's rain/near zero temperature for the love of our dear community (haha ok but the cold became unbearable so we quit after a month. we can stay warm indoors and still love our community!) planning 10 was spent doing absolutely nothing, other than watching Agnes play tetris. matt vee and badminton rackets, travis and our "relationship", david and taiwanese sausages... PE 10 was spent with possibly the best group. the winter olympics was filled with nationalistic feelings in only the most positive ways. my first and only live-band experience was spent watching a band I don't know the name of. developed an unhealthy craving for mcdonald's chicken snack wraps once every couple of days (well it was the closest fast food to RHS so...) having only seven classes as a gr 10 made me feel pretty darn special. getting off of school right after lunch made old asian men on the bus home think I was skipping school. biweekly routine of getting a tim hortons blueberry bagel w/cream cheese before crossing the street for holla bak meetings. (timmys i love you and i'm coming back for you soon!!!) declining ____'s offer to be his girlfriend. "please? just one date? please Isabel? common.." (the name will be left anonymous for obvious reasons). sitting next to the love of my life: mawia and expressing my <3 to her by almost cutting off her index finger. english became not so much a burden thanks to TKAM and Wyne. after I figured out it was ok to eat in the library, I had some of the most delicious tuna sandwiches on the second floor of RPL. gr 10 remains my favourite year of high school.
