this new blogger format needs some getting used to or maybe its cus its been so long since I've posted anything. I don't usually do day posts but today was great. morning started off well bc I had an extra 30 minutes of sleep thanks to my lovely 9:30 class!! my only class of the day, english for two hours, went by rather quickly. poetry unit coming up and I'm almost glad that lyons made us do all those poetry packets. michael and I went to get sushi @ wesbrook village and spontaneously decided to go biking at stanley park!!!! (it was that or going back to irving to study for econ, history, and french). now I haven't ridden a bike since gr 6 and I was scared to death while crossing the street to get to the park. eventually I got the hang of it again and it was THE perfect weather to go biking. p.s. it hasn't rained at all this month which is !!!!! for vancouver weather. we biked around the whole park and I realized that I've only been to 2/3 of it before today. we saw swans and michael went up to take a picture of it and was yelled at by the caretaker. "how am I supposed to know that the swan has an injured leg.. it was just sitting there posing at the camera" after biking he drove back to ubc and we went to menchies for the first time! we got the creme brulee flavoured with jelly that pops in your mouth when you bite into it (haha I was just sitting there laughing to myself while popping the jellies). then the exciting part comes. because my roomie locked me out of the washroom for the 3rd time (love you erika), I had to use the washroom at the commonsblock. so I thought ok I'll check my mailbox while I'm at it. and whattya know a parcel was waiting for me!!!! it felt way too light to be what I was hoping for. michael was being annoying and made me go to the washroom first before I could open it up. and then I tore open the box and it was my baby!!! I was so excited to open up the actual package that I couldn't stop squealing on the way upstairs. right now its locked inside my drawer because I need to focus on my readings for the night. it's...so...tempting....but I'll show y'all a picture. so anyway this school day ended up being a stanley park/froyo/iphone adventure. thanks michael for taking me out to sushi and biking and driving me in your car that doesn't need me to reach for the seat belt.
